Which Multimedia Option Is Best For You
Here are some of the considerations and key questions you need to answer: e-Learning is more than web based or Internet delivered solutions. Selecting the correct delivery vehicle for your program insures a return for your investment and can make the difference between success and failure.

CDROM Some of the key features provided by CD-ROM delivery include high quality video, audio, version control, available anytime, available anywhere and multiple languages. By providing a media that is more engaging, using a wider range of sensory stimulations, retention is enhanced. If you have a complex or technical product or service; or need to provide your audience with detailed information and want them to retain the information for their job, this is a highly preferred medium.

STAND-ALONE PC OR LAPTOP This delivery method has all the same features as CD-ROM. The courseware is loaded to the hard drive of the computer. This installation eliminates the need to manage the CDs. Use a laptop and take the training anywhere, send it to various locations to provide increased access to high quality instruction. Minimum system requirements include: Pentium III, 32MB memory, available hard-drive space (min. 650MB per class), video and sound card, speaker or headphones, CD-ROM drive.

NETWORK Our courseware is completely networkable; in fact it can be configured to play over your LAN in four different ways. (To learn more about these four different ways, CLICK HERE). We have solutions that will fit any networking environment, from a peer-to-peer network with 5 workstations to a fully integrated Video File Server playing out to 100 simultaneous users. Our network installations stream and play the same high-quality, MPEG-1 video you have come to expect from CLI. All courses and learner records are centrally located and managed..

INTRANET If you have an Intranet, we can stream our courseware over it as well. CLI’s courseware supports Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Netscape’s browsers. The look, functionality and features of our courseware are exactly the same playing through your browser or from a CD-ROM.

INTERNET We can also accommodate your need to access courseware over the Internet. Because our instructional design utilizes high-quality video, our courseware requires a high-speed data connection. To accomplish delivery over the Internet we stream our video using MPEG-4. MPEG-4 maintains the quality of video we need to deliver a quality training experience to the learner.
