Iowa Department of Workforce Development
When Iowa was devastated by an EF-5 Tornado in May of 2008 that was closely followed by severe storms that lead to massive flooding and the subsequent declaration by FEMA of 84 of Iowa’s 99 counties being declared a disaster, we were able to utilize Convenience Learning’s online Safety Training for protecting the workers that we were placing at public worksites through the Disaster National Emergency Grant that was awarded to Iowa.
Dave Janiszewski and Convenience Learning were wonderful in getting the system up and ready for Iowa, providing webinar training on the use of the system, and to have continued to provide additional safety training modules as additional types of training were needed as additional hazards were uncovered in the process of Iowa’s clean-up, recovery, and restoration from all of the damage.
I can attest to the wonderful cooperation that Dave and his company have provided to Iowa since July of 2008 and are continuing to do so. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

This letter is my personal recommendation for Convenience Learning. As the Safety Administrator at SCSU I have used Convenience Learning’s online safety training services for the past 2.5 years at SCSU. This interactive based training helps ensure our employees are affectively trained at a reasonable cost. We currently train our General Maintenance Workers, Maintenance Employees and selected Faculty to meet our OSHA and MPCA obligations. I am able to create my own training groups and curriculum as needed. This system also allows for a detail automatic training reporting structure.
I find Convenience Learning to be consistently reliable and very responsive to assist me with questions as I act as the program administrator. His service provides me over 250 quality courses to choose from and allow our SCSU employees to train at their personal work locations. It is for these reasons that I offer high recommendations for Convenience Learning’s online safety training services without reservation. If you have any questions regarding this recommendation, please do not hesitate to contact me.

This reference letter is provided at the written request of David Janiszewski, who has asked me to serve as a reference on the MasteryNet Training System. It is my understanding that the MasteryNet Training System is being considered to enhance training within the MN DNR.
I have known David Janiszewski for the past 14 months as he and I have communicated and worked on creating the Carver County System. Carver County purchased the MasteryNet Training System back in October of 2008 after seeing a demonstration at the MN Safety Council Conference.
Carver County uses the MasteryNet Training System to enhance overall training for its 750 plus employee’s. Carver County uses the MasteryNet Training System as a backup to our hands on training that we do. With all of our busy schedules, vacations and illness, we have another way to keep our employee’s trained and up to date. We have also used the many courses offered by the MasteryNet Training System to enhance employee performance.
One area of the MasteryNet Training System that I really like is the database function. This is a great function that is built into the training system to keep track of training that is done on line. The other part of this database is outside training that we do, that training can be added into the system and the employee’s given credit for attending. If there is ever a question or if one of your employee’s would like a list of courses that he/she has completed, it’s all there and printable with a couple of clicks of the mouse.
If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact me.
